Uto Island, Finland

Utö is a small island in the Archipelago Sea in the Baltic sea and belongs to Korpo municipality. It is the southernmost year-round inhabited island in Finland.

On the island there's a lighthouse, pilot station, a small guest harbour, a shop and a post office. The island is internationally best known as the first rescue station of the Estonia disaster in September 1994.

Attractions on the island include the Uto village itself, museum, the prayer house, graveyard and Adolf Öhmans´ house.

Port Location – Large boats and ships can moor on the outer west side of the Uto pier.

Travel Links – You can get to Utö with the Eivor ferry. The voyage to Utö starts at Pernäs (the ferry place between Nagu and Korpo) and it takes about 4 hrs.
