Bali is well known for its beautiful beaches, volcanic mountains, lush tropical forests and terraced ricefields. The island has thousands of temples ranging from the great 'Holy Temple' at Besakih to small village places of worship.

Watersports are popular in Bali and haggling for bargains is another favorite tourist pastime. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars, and the night life pumps, particularly in Kuta and Seminyak.

Bali is trying to make a revival after the two bombing incidents that have occurred there. Travel warnings have been frequent of late, however Bali remains a beautiful and affordable holiday destination.
