Muros, Spain

Muros is a municipality in the Spanish province of A Coruña. It is a well known old Galician coastal town, which is located at the northern entrance of one of the region's bays known as the "Muros y Noia rias". The whose traditional economy, like that of most harbour towns, is based on fishing, agriculture and tourism.

Visitors to Muros will enjoy a walk along the seafront promenade which runs the length of the town’s sea front. The buildings are predominantly white with galleria style balconies. This part of town is an ideal spot for having a drink or a plate of tapas. Behind the harbour front buildings is the center of town where a busy outdoor market is held weekly. The main residential part of Muros is then built back into a steep hill (the "Monte Louro" mountain) with steps, pathways and narrow roads negotiating the slope
