Urvina Bay is located at the foot of Alcedo Volcano, on the west coast of Isabela Island, the largest of the Galapagos islands. Isabela island has active volcanoes including Volcan Cerro Azul and Volcan Wolf. It also boasts rich animal, bird and marine life.
Seasonally Urvina Bay is a nesting area for many of the Galapagos creatures. Female tortoises journey down from Alcedo to lay their eggs in the sand. Galapagos penguins, flightless cormorants and brown pelicans also nest in the area. Other highlights of this site include marine iguanas and some of the largest land iguanas in the islands, and Galapagos Cotton an endemic plant.

Port Location – The port is located at the main settlement area of Puerto Villamil, lcoated at the south-eastern tip of the island.
Transport Links – Flights to the Galapagos are relatively easy to arrange and depart from Quito and Guayaquil on a daily basis for the Isla Baltra airport, about two hours by public transport from Puerto Ayora, the main settlement of the Galapagos, on the central island of Santa Cruz.
On arriving into Baltra, all visitors are immediately transported by bus to one of two docks. The first dock is located in a small bay where the boats cruising the Galápagos await passengers. The second is a ferry dock which connects Baltra to the island of Santa Cruz via the Itabaca Channel.
