Tarifa, Spain

Tarifa is a small town in the province of Cadiz on the southernmost coast of Spain. Only 14kms away from Africa there is an ever changing view across the Strait of Gibraltar to the city lights of Tangier.

Unspoilt countryside and ten kilometres of white sandy beaches offer some of the best wind and kite surfing conditions in Europe.

Tarifa old town retains many of its original features and after strolling through the charming cobbled streets, make the most of the many tapas bars the old town has to offer. The original castellated city walls of this ancient town are tightly woven into the fabric of the whitewashed houses; however, much of what we see today was constructed in the 18th century.
