Le Guetin is the site of the “pont canal” which traverses the river Allier. There is a very pretty village about 5 km’s from Guetin, called Apremont-sur-Allier. The village boasts old stone buildings with flower gardens, a couple of old lavoirs, an ancient church, an old chateau on the hill above the village, and below, the river Allier meanders along in front of the village green. Apremont also has a wonderful Botanic Garden.
