Close to the Malaysian island of Langkawi, the Butang Islands are located in the Tarutao National Park, a marine National Park consisting of 51 islands close to the Malaysian border. All the islands are uninhabited with the exception of Koh Lipe.

The Butang islands are considered an unspoiled paradise with glorious tropical sun, crystal clear water, many small bays, beaches and rivers going from the beach, mangroves, rainforest and pristine coral reefs.

The Butang Islands are distinguished by their breathtaking rock formations and amazing variety of fauna and flora which thrive in the crystal clear water, making this archipelago a paradise for divers or those who simply want to swim.
