Pulau Singa Besar

Pulau Singa Besar is located at the southwestern tip of Langkawi, Malaysia. It is situated 17 km from Kuah, between the well-renowned Pulau Dayang Bunting and Pulau Beras Basah. The island is a wildlife sanctuary with wooden walkways and paths for visitors to trek around the island. Visitors will find lizards, deer mouse, macaques, eagles and hornbills.

A major attraction of the island is eagle feeding. The boatman or tour guide will first switch off the motor of the speedboat and throw pieces of chicken to the middle of the sea. Within seconds, you will get to see hundreds of eagles in brown and some rare ones in white flying above your head. Visitors can also picnic on the pristine beaches and enjoy swimming in the surrounding waters.
