Opatija, Croatia

Opatija is located in the Kvarner Gulf, and is the biggest city on the Eastern coast of Istra, Croatia. Its mild climate and stunning setting made it a favorite holiday destination.

Opatija's highly indented and rocky coast is bordered by a shady promenade, the Lungomare, which extends for 12km to the picturesque village of Lovran. Along the way, there are dozens of secluded coves for swimming and sun baking.
