Brisbane is the capital and most populated city in the state of Queensland, Australia. It is situated at a bend of the Brisbane River, approximately 23 kms from its mouth at Moreton Bay. The city itself is very hilly; the CBD is only 2.2km and is easy to walk on foot.

Port Location - The Portside Wharf cruise terminal is located on the Brisbane River in the suburb of Hamilton, 5km from the city centre.

Transport Links - Brisbane Airport is 20 kilometres east of the city centre at Eagle Farm, north of the river. There are flights available to all Australian capitals and numerous regional centres from the domestic terminal. The international terminal is serviced by all major regional airlines and it is possible to fly daily to most Asian centres, the USA and New Zealand.

Rail services include Countrylink which operates from Sydney and Queensland Rail has services from most centres in Queensland. Greyhound Australia links most other locations to Brisbane.
