Valdivia, Chile

Valdivia is a city and commune in southern Chile, located 839 km from Santiago, at the confluence of the Calle-Calle, Valdivia and Cau-Cau Rivers. It is known as the City of Rivers and is situated approximately 15 km east of the coastal towns of Corral and Niebla.

On a visit to Valdivia you can see the Muelle Schuster, the riverside market, the Museo Histórico y Antropológico "Mauricio van de Maele" (established in the Carlos Anwandter house), the Universidad Austral de Chile, the El Austral cultural center, the waterfront, the Cathedral and the Torreón los Canelos built in 1781.
