Guanaja, Honduras

Guanaja is one of the Bay Islands of Honduras, and is in the Caribbean. It is located approx. 70 km off the north coast of Honduras, and 12 km from the island of Roatan. There are three villages on Guanaja called Bonacca, Mangrove Bight and Savannah Bight.

Guanaja is a paradise for divers and snorkelers. There is an abundance and variety of underwater marine life. Hiking is also popular, as is fishing and jungle tours to Northeast Bight.

Travel Links – Visitors can fly to Roatan and then charter a boat or flight directly to Gunaja. Alternatively
there are flights from the mainland town of La Ceiba and a weekly ferry from Trujillo. Except for private boat or charter plane, there is no direct transportation, between Guanaja and the other Bay Islands.
