New Orleans is a major United States port and the largest city and metropolitan area in the state of Louisiana. It is tis a top tourist destination, despite being hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The city is known for its historical roots, jazz music, Creole food and year round Mardi Gras atmosphere.

Port Location – The New Orleans Cruise terminals are all located within walking distance of the historic French Quarter on the River front trolley line. The Julia Street Street Cruise Terminal is located within the same building as the Riverwalk Shopping Mall.

Travel Links – Louis Armstrong International Airport is the city’s primary airport, located in the suburb of Kenner. It offers daily flights to/from 37 destinations throughout Nth America.

Bus and train stations are next to each other at 1001 Loyola Avenue, by the edge of the Central Business District and within walking distance of the Super Dome. Both Greyhound and Amtrak service the terminal. Three Amtrak routes pass through New Orleans: City of New Orleans, Crescent, and Sunset Limited.
